*** 2008 Season Kicks Off Camp Woodward ***

NBL BMX News -- 09/25/2007
The 30th Annual Grand National has come and gone, and around the
corner is the kick off to the 2008 season. Camp Woodward will start the
season out right as the host of this year’s Supercross National and NE
Regional Champion****p. A weekend of racing will take place on the
pristine Woodward Camp facilities. To start the season off with a BANG,
the NBL will introduce new class structures, points system, and the
North
East Regional Champion****p!

The upcoming season will be host to a lot of exciting and history making
events. The NBL announces several new and improved modifications to
the national class and point structure for the 2008 season. Added to the
schedule are cl***** like the new 41 and Over group, which will prove to
be a battle of the ages. The over populated 17-24 cl***** have
undergone some heavy sectioning, adding groups like 17-18, 19-25,
26-34, and 35-40 to the men’s cl*****.

Don’t forget, a new points structure will be in affect.

The new National point structure, which essentially combines the ’06 and
’07 tables, promises to increase competition in the motos while
providing
large enough increments in the mains to allow riders the chance to move
up rankings with good overall finishes. The new system will tighten the
national points chase in all cl***** and reward riders who place well in
the main events, which will ultimately add even more excitement to the
2008 NBL Grand National. Hurry and get started on your race for points!!

In addition to new cl***** and points structure, the NBL will also debut
the
random gate to the series. Both the Supercross National and the NE
Regional will be run using the random gate. We suggest to our riders
that
you arrive early and get as much practice as you can with new system.

It’ll be a clean slate for everyone for the Supercross National, so
start
your season off right with an exciting weekend of racing at Camp
Woodward!
