The roster for the fourth and final round of the 2007 UCI BMX World
Cup in Frejus, France on October 13-14 has been released. USA Cycling
announced today that a total of 17 of the country’s best riders will be
headed to the south of France to represent the United States of America.

The 2007 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup #4 is the seventh of 17 events
that factor into USA Cycling’s 2008 BMX Rankings – the primary factor
which determines the Olympic Long Team for the 2008 Games in Beijing.

Among those competing in Frejus are current world champion and USA
Cycling BMX Rankings leader Kyle Bennett (Conroe, Texas), the winner
of the BMX Supercross in Beijing Donny Robinson (Napa, Calif.), 2007
world champion****p bronze medalist Randy Stumpfhauser (Sanger, Calif.)
and the winner of the third round World Cup event in Salt Lake City,
Mike
Day (Santa Clarita, Calif.).

In total, 11 of the 14 elite male riders currently ranked in USA
Cycling’s
2008 BMX Rankings who are competing for slots on the Olympic Long
Team are scheduled to race in Frejus, including second-ranked Steven
Cisar (Altadena, Calif.), Danny Caluag (Chino, Calif.), Matt Pohlkamp
(Cincinnati, Ohio), Jason Rogers (Mesquite, Texas), Jarrett Kolich
(Santa
Barbara, Calif.), Tyler Brown (San Clemente, Calif.) and Brandon
Meadows (Sacramento, Calif.).

Six elite riders will represent the U.S. in the women’s competition,
including the top five athletes in the USA Cycling 2008 BMX Rankings.

The number one rider in the rankings Jill Kintner (Seattle, Wash.)
will lead the team in Frejus along with the second through fifth-ranked
women, Amanda Geving (Largo, Fla.), Stephanie Barragan (Montclair,
Calif.), Kimberly Haya**** (Chandler, Ariz.) and Arielle Martin
(Clarksville,
Tenn.). Alise Post (St. Cloud, Minn.) is the only junior rider who will
help
represent the U.S. in the race against the world's best, at only age 16.

The Frejus stop is the final World Cup of the season following the
season-opener in Madrid in April, the official Olympic Test Event
in Beijing in August and the Salt Lake City Supercross World Cup
last month.

Competition begins Saturday, October 13 with the time trial qualifying
rounds followed by the finals on Sunday, October 14.
