The front lines is a concept antiquated by today's modern military
weaponry . No one is safe in a war-zone precisely because of the far
reaches of long distance smart weapons. Consequently ,WAR-TIME and
WAR-ZONE military service is distinctly different. War-time service
stateside is as far different than war-time service in a war-zone.
Having personally experience both during the Vetnam War, I know of
what I speak (write).
