We do have a different take on the Usenet newsgroup, but not centered
upon differing online/offline views.  Usenet has nothing to do with
offline anything.  My view concerning Usenet is about a newsgroup's
dssign intent (focus) and how your ONLINE self=servoing, off-topic,
contentions behavior that you consider "style" fails to conform to the
design intent of the newsgroup.  I trust that clarifies the matter.
