I bought my Deep Vs from Abbotsford cycles and got a pretty good deal on
them. I have been riding them for a while now on the fixie and they are
still true.
I was at the BMC a couple of weeks ago - what a great day it was weather
wise and to top it off I managed to get through the 100km without any
flats
or mechanicals!!! The tracks were great and I was having a wow of a time
up
until about the 80km mark when I started to cramp pretty severely in the
inner thigh (adductors??), quads, hammies, and calves!!! By 90km I just
wanted it all to end and that last rest stop seemed to take forever to get
to. I ended up with a time of 7h22m although my computer showed 6h35m of
actual riding time......the rest of the time was either refuelling at one
of
the rest stations or stopping for a stretch (I did this about 4 or 5 times
in the last 20km or so!!!).
It was a fantastic course and I reckon that by next year I will have
forgotten the pain and might sign up for another crack at it. I might
even
try and do some preparation next time around as prior to this ride I can't
remember the last time I did more than ride to or from work in one go and
that is only 15 to 20km each way depending on which way I go!!
What time did you end up getting Dej??
Gags
