My newest bike got 4,000 miles in six months...this was last year --
this year, I haven't been doing as much by comparison, having really
just run out of places to go to around this town! Also, I've been
playing some old favorites on the computer again (Panzer General, the
Close Combat series, Fallouts 1 and 2, Maniac Mansion...)....

I'm going to start taking the train or bus to other towns, like Philly
and Boston and D.C., for my bicycling fix (though these will almost by
necessity have to be overnight trips, which also means accommodations
and such additional expenses)...after over twenty years threading
through New York and surrounding environs, I've practically run of out
places to explore!

Then there's my bad back, as you probably know (legs are so overrated;
it's the back that "drives" most physical actions!), which is often a
real drag...I even used to commute every day by bike, but have given
that up since the summer....

In terms of weightlifting, I don't think cycling detracts from
strength and mass gains that much...I don't mean Tour de France
racing, of course, but just the casual ~15-20mph pace, even for all-
day rides, haven't hurt me much, if at all.
