The fact that it applies to bikes 400$ or less is not a good thing at
all. High end bikes tend to be bought by people with money, wearas cheap
bikes are what I buy. Making it ridicullously expensive will not help
one bit. I mean I would understand that if there would be nice cheap
canadian bikes available... but there aren't. CCMs are decent but have a
ton of marketting gimmicks on that are just useless. And Supercycles and
the like are a joke (I mean chinese stuff is net superiour). 4 years ago
I bought a steel framed (almost road dimentions) normal mtb (simmilar to
the cop bikes) made by some "millenium" canadian company with ez fire
****fters, etc etc.. for 200$ (unfortunately stolen soon thereafter). I
loved that bike! All you can buy nowadays of canadian make are bikes
with ridicullously thick tubing that adds to the weight for no reason,
etc etc. Cop bikes rule!
So yea.. if you have 3 0's and a number other then 0 to head the string
in fundings... for a bike... it doesnt mean that everyone does. It also
doesnt imply that I like to ride crapy bikes.
