Travel Alert: Benjamin Franklin Bridge Walkway To Close Beginning July 9
Until Further Notice
Effective Saturday, July 9, the Benjamin Franklin Bridge walkway will
be closed until further notice due to the heightened level of alert on
transit systems instituted by the Department of Homeland Security. In
addition to the roadway and pedestrian walkway, the Benjamin Franklin
Bridge also carries the PATCO High Speed Line.
The north walkway will be open briefly on Sunday morning, July 10, to
accommodate those participating in the American Cancer Society
Bike-a-Thon.
