The problem is that the light will point to where you are looking. I
guess if you're in remote areas that's not a problem. In urban
settings it's im****tant to advertise where you are going more so than
where you are looking. It's also sometimes im****tant for the car
people to think that you're not looking at them as they believe eye
contact to be implicit permission to violate traffic laws (like they
need any more of a pass than they already assume). But I wouldn't
wear one of those helmet things even if I thought it was a good place
to hang a light. On the other hand it might be quite nice to have it
if you had to change a flat, I wear a lamp strapped to my head when
camping and find it very handy.
