Even though we've never met and it is very unlikely we ever will, I
have respect for you.  You write in a honest, non-condescending,
interesting manner. I have only pity for Vandeman and feel very sorry
for him due to his mental illness that he refuses to admit to and
refuses to seek help for.  If he would retain the services of a mental
health care professional, all the person would have to do is do a
Google Groups search for Vandeman and Mike's website.  In a few short
minutes the mental health care professional would discover how ill
Vandeman is. I hope and pray that Vandeman would seek help for his
condition, but in all reality Vandeman may be too ill to be fully
healed.  It is really bizarre how Vandeman pretends he is an
environmentalist but, yet his actions show other wise.  He wrote of
being a outstanding environmentalist but, doesn't/can't understand
that a real environmentalist would eat locally organically grown
produce instead of produce grown hundreds of miles away with
pesticides and  fertilizers.

I do not work in the health care field nor do I pretend to be educated
in the field, but I can see he has major problems.  I wonder how he
interacts with family members and if he as any friends. Possibly,
newsgroups is the only place where he can interact with people that
aren't being paid to deal with him.  Imagine a salesclerk and workers
at the grocery store he shops at, when the people see  Vandeman they
probably try to duck around the corner so they won't have to deal with
him. Other than the non-native invasive species (cats) he owns that
give him companion****p he has little if any companion****p.  Vandeman
seems to be an intelligent person, if he could control his mental
illness in all probability he could be a productive member of society
instead of being a parasite looking for attention and not giving
anything of value back to others.
