Yellow chains?

I saw a fellow in Bend, Oregon, ride by the window of a restaurant where 
my lovely wife and I were enjoying a fine lunch with an excellent pinot 
noir. He was riding a fixie or singlespeed and the chain was bright 
yellow -- so bright and clean it looked like a yellow plastic chain. 
What might I have seen?
