I now have a new Nimbus Nightrider Pro set up and I can really feel the
weight difference.
Old set up: coker frame with brake mounts painted black
airfoil rim (the good one)
12g coker spokes
wheel ta tire
New set up: Nimbus frame
nightrider pro rim (black, with machined sidewalls)
nightrider tire
14g SS spokes
I don't have a scale but just lifting up the two wheelsets(with frames
attached) I can feel the weight difference. I took the new set up for
a test ride (5 min) and it feels very responsive and the new tire rolls
very smooth. I will not be able to write a full review/comparison
until I go for a long ride but I am guessing I will love the lighter
wheel! I am also looking forward to putting some brakes on the
nightrider because they should work a lot better on the new set up with
a stiffer frame and a machined rim.
In other news, I will be selling my old 36.
