Interim Committee Update
This is to advise that the us.* hierarchy Interim Committee
has been formed, and now consists of five voting members plus two
non-voting ex-officio advisors.
The voting members are:
Robert White, Chairman
Kevin Cannon, Member
edward ohare, Member
Dave Ratcliffe, Member
redc1c4, Member
The non-voting members are:
Geoff Berrow, Technical Advisor
Henrietta K. Thomas, us.* Hierarchy Maintainer
The decision to expand the committee was discussed by the
committee as a whole and was unanimous.
Purpose of the expansion is to ensure diversity of opinion and guard
against the committee being hampered by a shortage of voting members.
A moratorium on proposals to amend any of the existing governing
do***ents is in effect until further notice. This does not apply to
regular proposals to create new groups in the us.* hierarchy, or to take
actions regarding existing us.* groups. It is recommended, however,
that prospective proponents advise me in advance of any RFDs they are
planning to post.
This is a tem****ary measure which will be reviewed from time to time,
and may be changed as conditions warrant.
